Mulch ‘N More

Owner: Eddy Queen
Location: 5907 Burnt Knob Road, Murfreesboro, TN
Project Scope: New office space and maintenance facility
Queen’s Tree Surgery has been serving Middle Tennessee for nearly 80 years. The company, which was started by Wayne Queen in 1942, is very much a family business. The Queen family purchased 100 acres on Burnt Knob Road and selected the Dow Smith Company team to construct their new Mulch ‘N More facility.
The 11,590-square-foot pre-engineered metal buildings provide Queen’s with a new office space and warehouse building. The Mulch ‘N More project was not without its share of challenges—the site proved difficult for electrical, water, and plumbing utilities, including the unique fire sprinkling system required. Despite these obstacles, the Dow Smith Company team, in partnership with Kevin Goins Architecture, was able to provide Queen’s Tree Surgery with a facility that will serve them for years to come.
When designing and building a church, the process is far more than just creating a functional space. It’s about crafting a place of worship, community, and ministry that reflects the heart and vision of your congregation. But with so many moving parts—budgets, timelines, stakeholder input, and ministry needs—it’s easy for the process to feel overwhelming. That’s why we recommend starting with a Three-Day Design Charrette at Dow Smith Company. This intensive, collaborative event brings all your key stakeholders together to align on vision, goals, and practical steps before the design and construction process begins. You’re building a legacy. Let’s make it a great one.
