Why New Year’s Resolutions Work (And Why They Sometimes Don’t)
It’s not uncommon for people to want to lose weight, save money, and quit bad habits. What’s less common is for people to set goals and stick to them.
On the latest episode of our From The Ground Up podcast, Dow Smith Company Director of Well-being Holley Potts discusses what you can do to create practical New Year’s resolutions—and achieve them.
“Really what we’re talking about is the process of change and that is a process so it’s not like the calendar date changed and now I’m going to do these five things,” Holley says on the podcast. “One resolution with baby steps toward it is going to have more fruit than five big things. You’re shifting behavior and behavior is one of the hardest things to change.”
